Project Manager (Part-time, 6-9 Month Contract)
Join Leah Chang Learning (LCL) in supporting a Canadian accessibility leader as we drive a large-scale learning project forward (3 courses). With a focus on expanding publicly available resources, the Project Manager will make a tangible impact and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

About the role
- This is a fully remote opportunity, open to candidates located in British Columbia who hold valid work authorization.
- Hours:
- First 3 months, 20 hours/week with flexible schedule.
- Subsequent months likely 10-15 hours/week.
- Flexible schedule in Pacific-time core working hours (Monday to Friday, between 8:30am-4pm).
- The successful candidate will need to provide their own equipment (laptop, phone, secure Wi-Fi, etc.) and quiet working space.
- Drive scope and develop detailed project plans.
- Track timelines and milestones to ensure the project is delivered on time and on budget.
- Compile project financial reports, monitor budgets.
- Organize and book all meetings with stakeholders, prepare slide decks and presentations, lead meetings, and document any decisions and action items.
- Take ownership of the project team experience, ensuring the clients receive the value promised in the contract, and build a relationship for future business development.
- Manage all communication touchpoints with the clients, including kickoff calls, reviews of work in progress, project updates, and handover of final deliverables.
- Bring forward any concerns about project scope, bottlenecks, or changes in client expectations and assist in developing strategies to manage project risks.
- Liaise with 3rd party vendors to assist in launching the client’s project successfully.
- Regularly reach out to clients to maintain relationships and provide project awareness.
Desired Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- PMP (required) and Agile Certification (preferred)
- A combination of the following education and work experience will be considered:
- Post secondary education, preferably in Project Management or Business Administration
- 3-5 years’ of PM experience as a client-facing project manager in one of the following industries:
- Healthcare
- Nonprofit
- Accessibility
- Tourism
- Organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
- Highly adept at working in Google Docs and utilizing digital project management software (ClickUp).
- Self-motivated, with proactive communication skills to collaborate effectively as part of an asynchronous, remote-first team.
- Methodical approach to problem solving, with high attention to detail.
- Commitment to principles of diversity, equity and inclusion.
- Ability to adopt and follow LCL templates and processes, provide feedback for future optimizations and improvements.
- Awareness of preferred language in the disability community (person-first, disability-first).
- Working proficiency in French is an asset.
Salary Range
$80-$100/hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
