Leah Chang Learning Inc. is a fast-growing learning management company, founded in 2019. We are a collaborative group of Instructional Designers in and around Vancouver, BC, from diverse professional backgrounds: educators, visual effects, project management, IT leaders, and more. We work primarily with cause-driven organizations, non-profit organizations, or companies with educational mandates.

We are committed to respect, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility in all of our work and learning experiences. We acknowledge we live and work on the unceded, traditional territories of the Coast Salish peoples.

Meet the Team

Leah Chang, B.A., B.Ed., M.A.

​CEO, Founder & Lead Instructional Designer

Leah has been a professional educator since 2003, when she started as a French Immersion teacher. Her professional experience includes working with non-profit and corporate organizations, developing online and classroom learning. She has been a successful consultant since 2015. She founded Leah Chang Learning Inc in 2019 and is our Lead Instructional Designer and Learning Technologist. 

Leah has developed curriculum for many sectors on complex topics. She’s adept at distilling large concepts into digestible learning opportunities, supporting change and digital adoption. Leah is proud to have assembled a roster of extremely talented course designers and collaborators who consistently deliver high-quality learning experiences to all of Leah Chang Learning’s clients.

Bernadette ​Andrade

Bernadette is our project manager (PMP), program evaluator, and education coordinator. She was formerly the Manager of Academic Initiatives and Planning at Capilano University and is now our process, program evaluation and operations guru. She’s skilled in project and change management and is well-equipped to assist complex programs in establishing their own assessment plans and processes.

Deb Chen

 ​Deb is an educator, facilitator, instructional designer, and certified organizational coach. She holds a PhD in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine from the University of British Columbia. Through one-on-one pedagogical consultations and coaching, she supports instructors to adapt evidence-based teaching and learning practices into their own contexts and create process-driven learning experiences. Deb is also an Instructional Skills Workshop (ISW) facilitator and a Facilitator Development Workshop (FDW) trainer.

Raquel Montes

Raquel provides expertise in LMS administration (Moodle, Totara, LearnUpon) and course development (Articulate Rise, Storyline). Her background includes IT management and career counselling with recent experience as a WorkBC facilitator. She creates online courses, workshops, and training experiences for people of all ages and backgrounds. Hailing from Sao Paulo by way of London, UK, Raquel speaks Portuguese and works remotely from her floating home.

Kate Spezowka

Kate is a writer, editor and designer with a diverse client base, including healthcare, social profit, automotive, and educational/e-learning organizations. Her specialty is providing end-to-end project services, including research, analysis, and development of polished documents and presentations. She brings critical thinking, patience and rigour to project teams and is known for distilling complex subject matter into meaningful, digestible insights.

Lea Spille

Lea is a learning experience designer with a background in educational therapy and human-centered design. She co-founded a learning company in Germany and always keeps the business perspective in mind. Lea is passionate about evidence-based design and provides expertise in learning needs analysis, UX design and course development. Her favourite part is running discovery and co-design sessions with clients, subject matter experts and learners.
